Your chiropractor will undergo a thorough history and physical examination and detect any places of altered alignment in the spine and apply a low amplitude, high velocity thrust to restore function and movement. 

Many animals benefit from chiropractic care however the animals I most commonly treat are horses, dogs and cats. 

I treat a combination of pets and high performance animals to help prevent injuries and maintain optimal movement. 

Animal chiropractic is typically gentle and non-invasive. Most animals tolerate adjustments well and even appear relaxed during and after the session. 

Frequency depends on a variety of factors and a better estimate is able to be made after a thorough history and physical exam. 

When performed by a licenced and qualified practitioner animal chiropractic is low risk. 

An initial consult takes 30-45 minutes and you should expect to chat with your pracitioner about your animals history followed by a thorough physical examination including palpating, gait analysis, range of motion testing and more and when complete and it is deemed safe to do so we will complete a treatment which may include manipulations, mobilizations, soft tissue therapy and rehabilitation exercises dependant on the case.
